Getting that itch again ...

Really getting an itch to start sculpting again ... toying with the idea of setting a goal to sculpt one thing a month - just to start getting used to finishing things.

It's ridiculous really how slow I am and how many WIPs I have that are still not finished.

I think I need to just start making it a priority to sit down with my clay and have a go at it on a regular basis with a goal of finishing the pieces more than I have been.

I've been featured in an ArtFire collection! w00t!

I woke up today to a HUGE compliment ... I had been added to a collection on ArtFire for the FIRST time evah!

The note telling me about it was SO sweet and it just made my day!

And to top it off, the other artists that she chose to be in the collection are several of my "fantasy art buddies" - so it wound up being sort of a double-honor ... as it is always a pleasure and honor to be in their company! :)

Yes! I finally started tinkering with my ArtFire shop, and I must say that I REALLY love that venue!

I totally LOVE having payment options along with Paypal, I LOVE that there is Google feeds, and I LOVE how the stores look and how they function!

ADO Challenge - Wonderland

So I actually DID make this deadline - and I actually finished the DOLL on the morning of the 8th!

You cannot imagine HOW freaking PROUD I am of myself.

Sadly I did get pretty sick - went home from work even which I try to never do - and have been down with a nasty flu bug until this morning. So I was not able to post my pictures up until now … but at least I’m feeling much better so yay anyways!

Anyways … here’s my challenge doll …

Hopefully I will get better pictures of him soon - I didn’t get time to finish his base, and I screwed up his platter to hold the teacup and teapot, and I need to get some mousse to style his hair and then deal with the whole unbalanced issue and whatnot … but still, I FINISHED A DOLL BY A DEADLINE!!!

Which - if you do not know me - you cannot understand what a MONUMENTAL achievement that is for the likes of myself! LOL!

Getting Closer ...

Well I have a lot more left to do, but I am a heck of a lot closer on finishing my ADO challenge! Yay me! :)

I'm sculpting again! :)

Last week a certain friend of mine has boldly challenged me to take the ADO challenge.

Soooo I have been working on my little guy .. albeit a little slowly ... but I'm actually making strides!

I am giving myself permission to be as imperfect as I want to be and just GET HIM DONE! LOL
